The Blue People of Pandora

Avatar is a one of a kind movie. Its' environment on the planet Pandora is 100% graphically designed down to the smallest detail. The fluidity of the animations is smooth and flawless. This kind of movie has never been seated before.

Unlike other movies, this film is 100% graphically designed. The plant life looks nothing like it does in other movies. Avatar introduces plants never seen before. Such as the purple flowered plant that plops into the ground. By introducing new plant life, Avatar sweeps you into a whole new world never seen in movies.

The attention to detail in effects is also amazing in Avatar. Each explosion and bullet rocketing by sounds and looks realistic. Being an alien planet, Pandora does not have oxygen, so whenever humans go outside they need a special mask. Throughout the movie there are various scenes when a humans mask is pulled off, and the oxygen spills out. You can actually visually see the oxygen vapor leaving the mask. The detail astonished me. Also in the movie, many trees were destroyed by missiles and explosions. While watching a tree explode, i paused the movie and could see the splinters, millions of them, fly away from the explosion. The detail is simply amazing.

Avatar also has an emotionally driven plot. The storyline keeps you on your toes and fingers cringed scene after scene. The acting is what is able to convey the emotion of it so well, and draws you into the story. While watching, you almost can feel the excitement, or the sadness as the story progresses.

The creativity of this film is absolutely amazing. There are many things that nobody would ever be able to think up and express in a film, but Avatar did it. For example, how all the native life on Pandora has fiber like hairs that can link up to one another to "see" it. You often see when the native humanoids are riding a horse or flying they link their fibers (pony tails) to the animal they are riding. Also in the way just the plant life is completely remade is amazing. Nowhere else will you find such creativity.

Graphic Design: 10/10
Attention to detail in effects: 10/10
Ability to convey emotion in plot and characters : 9.5/10
Creativity and originality: 10/10

Overall Score: 39.5/40

This is the most amazingly visually and emotionally driven science fiction movie i have ever seen. I would Highly recommend it to anyone in the world!

  1. I thought this was a really well written evaluation of the the movie. I only have a few concerns. I would address a clearer focus, from what you have written , I can tell you like the movie and your reasons for it, but I don't see much else besides that. It is very intriguing and it would make me want to go see the movie, but I think a better focus is an improvement. I like how the page is visually set up. My only other comment would be to maybe touch upon aspects that you didn't like about the movie (if there wasn't any, then say that too). BTW this is Jessica!! :) Hope this comment helps!
