Zombies, Gore, and more Zombies

          The Walking Dead
is a fantastic zombie apocalyptic show. In one scene, Greg (the main character) sees a helicopter while riding on horseback in the vacant Atlanta city, or is it. In Atlanta, cars are empty with dead bodies, garbage lays all around the streets, no sign of life is seen. As Greg turns the street corner, he runs into a huge mob of blood thirsty zombies. Filled with fear, Greg guides his horse back towards where he came. Upon re-passing the parked tank he runs into another mob of zombies. Without thinking he immediately turns right but the horde has already caught up with him. Angrily the zombies tear him off his horse. While laying flat on his back on the pavement, the zombies begin to mindlessly devour his horse. Greg without thinking twice crawled under the tank and up into it from the bottom. With a sigh of relief he layer against the wall of the tank. Attempting to take the M9 pistol off the dead soldier inside, the soldier springs to life. Greg uses the soldiers gun to shoot him the head. Laying trapped in the tank, all goes dark. The scenes of this television show are seem lifelike in the way it has been created.
In such an action filled thriller, you would expect the usual suspenseful music, but The Walking Dead has no music during most of its scenes. This creates a realistic environment absent of any foreign sounds. The costumes are seamlessly created. In other words, the zombies look as real as possible. The characters acting fits perfectly as well, making the viewer believe the fear is real. The most stunning aspect however is the special effects. Never before have i seen such a realistic headshot of a zombie. Put all these aspects together and you have the perfect zombie apocalypse show. Never before have i seen a show with so much attention to the detail of costumes, action, and acting. I highly recommend this show to anyone not busy on a Sunday night (nobody ever is so watch it!)

Realism in given setting- 9/10
Audio adding to the realism- 7/10
Quality of Costumes- 10/10
Fluidity of plot- 8.5/10
Realism of effects- 8.5/10
Acting to convey emotion to viewer- 7/10
Detailed Environment- 8/10

Overall Score- 58/70

The realism of this show is unbelievable. The costumes add tremendously to the believability. The acting could be slightly better and music could have been chosen better when it was actually played. Overall this is the most interesting and exotic television show i have seen. i highly recommend it to everyone. (unless you don't do well with gore)
